One for the romantics...
There’s plenty of similarity between the words Romahome and romance.
So it made sense on our first long trip with the R30 to stop off at Gretna and take a picture outside the Old Blacksmith’s Shop, the first and last house in Scotland where all those elopers have traditionally stopped to get married. It’s being done up at the moment but we didn’t pop in. No need, really, as this trip ends with our 41st wedding anniversary.
You can’t beat the romance of the freedom to travel wherever you want and that’s something we are experiencing with the R30. We have moved on up along the bonny banks of Loch Lomond and are heading west.
The weather’s a bit damp and miserable but we’re snug enough and have just been watching a White Tailed Sea Eagle sparring with a Buzzard.
Having a motorhome is the best hide ever for wildlife lovers and we are certainly seeing plenty. More news soon, by which time the weather will hopefully have improved a bit!
