Fit for Royalty...
Looking out of the conservatory at our friends’ cottage and what should turn up in the bay but Hebridean Princess, the cruise ship used by The Queen each summer for her trip round the Western Isles.
The ship did a full standing turn in the bay, no doubt made easier because she was once a ferry before conversion so is highly manoeuvrable.
All her guests would have got a great view of the R30, which stood shining white in the landscape.
It made us stop to think about cruising and what great value you get out of saving up the fare for a few trips as a couple enjoying the high life and spending it on a motorhome.
Instead of spending a few weeks in the company of people you may not like you could be out meeting many new friends and enjoying some of the luxury campsites around the UK and further afield. If you don’t like the company or the scenery you can always move on.
It’s easy to see why so many people love the thought of motorhome ownership and if it’s a compact vehicle like ours it will go anywhere a normal car can take you but is much more versatile. The two belted rear seats mean you can also enjoy days out to faraway places with a couple of friends, a good idea when you can choose your own travelling companions.
